Every day, in every country. Counted for you.

Stamp Days notices when you cross a border and keeps an exact count of the days you spend in each country. You never open it to log a thing. For nomads, expats, long trips, or simply remembering where your year went.

Set it up once. Then just travel.

Stamp Days is built around one number that has to be right: how many days you've spent in each country.

  1. Allow location, once

Stamp Days asks for location while you use it, then for Always, so it can notice a border crossing even when the app is closed.

    When in use → Always

  2. Travel as you normally would

When iOS reports a significant move, Stamp Days checks which country you're in. Land somewhere new and a new visit starts on its own.

    Significant-location changes, not all-day GPS

  3. Read your days

Each calendar day you spend in a country is recorded once. The day you cross a border counts for both countries.

One record per country per day

A passport page that fills itself in.

Every country you stay in gets its own stamp, and the day count on it keeps going until you leave. There's nothing to log and nothing to remember.

  • One stamp per countryIts count grows by one for each day you're there, even with the app closed.
  • Border days count for bothWake up in France and sleep in Spain, and that day counts once for each.
  • Every date can be fixedA phone that was off can miss a crossing, so every visit stays editable.
Example
  • Germany · 57 days
  • United States · 33 days
  • Japan · 30 days
  • Thailand · 18 days
  • France & Spain · 17 Sep counts for both
  • Portugal · 12 days, still counting
  • Italy · 11 days

Dashboard

Where you are, and which day of it.

The dashboard opens on the country you're in and a running day count. Underneath: where you were on this day in earlier years, and every country you've been to with its total days.

  • On this day: last year's country, and the years before
  • Tap any country to see every stay behind its total
  • Tracking status at a glance, active or paused
  • Add a past visit or import from Photos with the + button

World map

Every country you've stood in, on one map.

A pin on each country with the days you spent there. Tap one to see your stays, add a visit you forgot, or fix the dates of one you remember better.

  • Country totals and trip count at a glance
  • Add, edit or delete visits from the map
  • U.S. visits can carry the state, too

History & calendar

A calendar with the flag of every day.

Switch History between a list of visits and a month calendar that shows where you were on each date. A border-crossing day shows both flags.

  • Filter by year, with a summary of countries, visits and days
  • Or filter to any date range
  • Swipe between months or jump to any month and year
  • Each visit shows whether it was tracked, added by hand or imported

Statistics

Your travel year, in numbers.

Countries, total days and your current streak, free for everyone. Pro adds the charts: days by country, your top destinations, and travel activity month by month.

  • Summary cards are always free
  • Days-by-country and top-countries charts Pro
  • Travel activity over time Pro
Stamp Days statistics: 8 countries, 184 total days, a 12-day streak, and a donut chart of days by country

Import from Photos Pro

Rebuild years of travel from your camera roll.

Your photos already know where you've been. Stamp Days reads the location and date stored in each one, groups them into trips, and lets you choose which to keep.

  • Only location tags are read, on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded
  • Gaps of up to 30 days between photos in one country are filled in
  • Days you already tracked are never counted twice, and imports can be removed in one tap

Export Pro

Your days, in a file you can hand over.

Export everything, one year, one month or any range of dates. Open it in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, keep it as a backup, or add your trips to your calendar.

  • CSV: every day and every visit, ready for a spreadsheet
  • JSON: the full history, with where each day came from
  • Calendar (iCal): each visit as an all-day event
Stamp Days Export Travel Data screen with a choice of all, year, month or dates, and formats CSV spreadsheet, JSON backup and iCal calendar

Widgets

Today's country, without opening the app.

Small, medium and large Home Screen widgets, plus Lock Screen widgets, show where you are and how many days you've been there.

  • Current country and day number
  • Countries visited and total days tracked
  • Updates at midnight, so the day number is always today's

When the days matter, the record is already there.

Long trips, a life between countries, and your own memory all ask the same question: how many days were you there?

  • Nomads and expats

Moving every few weeks makes counting by hand impossible. Stamp Days does it in the background, country by country, and shows which day of each stay you're on.

  • Frequent business travel

Entry and exit dates for every trip, kept without a spreadsheet. With Pro, export them as one when someone asks.

  • A travel journal that writes itself

Where you were on this day last year, or three years ago. How many countries this year, your longest stay. It's all there, without writing a word.

Where you've been is nobody's business but yours.

Your travel history stays on the iPhone that recorded it. There's no account to make and nothing is uploaded.

  • No accountOpen the app and it works. There's nothing to sign up for.
  • No serverYour history is stored on your iPhone, not on anyone's computer.
  • No analyticsNo trackers and no third-party SDKs in the app.
  • Photos stay putImport reads only the location and date in each photo, on the device.

Please note: what Stamp Days can't do.

  • It infers a border crossing from your phone's movement, so a short crossing, or a phone that was off, can be logged late or missed. That's why every visit is editable.
  • It's a record-keeping tool. It doesn't know visa or tax rules and gives no legal advice: it gives you the day count, and the rules stay with you.
  • Turning a location into a country name is a request to Apple's location services, so that one step does leave the phone.

Tracking is free. Always.

Counting your days is what Stamp Days is for, so it's never limited. Pro is a one-time purchase for the extras that do more of the work for you.

Questions, answered.

Something else? Write to us from the support page.

Is there an app that automatically counts the days I spend in each country?

Yes. Stamp Days detects which country you're in, in the background, and keeps a count of the days you spend in each one. You don't need to open it or log anything.

Can I see where I was on this day last year?

Yes. The dashboard shows On this day: the country you were in on today's date in each earlier year, for free. Years spent in the country you're in now are left out.

Can I export my travel days to a spreadsheet?

Yes, with Pro. Export everything, a year, a month or a custom range as a CSV spreadsheet, a JSON backup, or a calendar file with each visit as an all-day event.

Does Stamp Days need a subscription?

No. Tracking, the map, history, day counts, On this day and widgets are free. Stamp Days Pro is an optional one-time purchase of $4.99 in the United States, with no subscription.

Do I need to open Stamp Days every day?

No. With location access set to Always, Stamp Days notices when you arrive in a new country while the app is closed, and it refreshes your day count at midnight. Opening the app is only needed to look at your days.

How is the day I cross a border counted?

A day you spend in two countries counts once for each of them, and the calendar shows both flags on that day.

Will it drain my battery?

Stamp Days relies on iOS significant-location changes rather than running GPS all day, so it only wakes when you've moved a meaningful distance.

Can I add trips from before I installed it?

Yes. Add past visits by hand (five are free, unlimited with Pro), or with Pro, import years of trips from the location tags in your photo library. You review every trip before anything is saved.

Where is my travel history stored?

On your iPhone. Stamp Days has no account, no server and no analytics. Photos import reads only the location and date stored in each photo, on the device, and never uploads anything.

What does Stamp Days Pro cost?

A single one-time purchase of $4.99 in the United States; the App Store shows your local price. There's no subscription. Pro adds Import from Photos, export, the statistics charts and unlimited hand-added visits.

Which devices and languages does it support?

iPhone with iOS 18 or later, in English, German, Spanish, French and Italian. Widgets are available for the Home Screen and the Lock Screen.

Your next trip starts the count.

Install Stamp Days before you leave. When you land, the count has already started.
